Salesforce Launches ‘Agentforce 360’ at Dreamforce ’25 | Explained

Salesforce announced the general availability of Agentforce 360, the most recent edition of its flagship AI product, as Dreamforce gets underway.

The CRM giant stated that, while others are “just beginning” to demonstrate what is possible with agentic AI, they have spent the past year delivering it, with four key releases, thousands of client installations, and Salesforce as client Zero.

Salesforce’s Chair and CEO, Marc Benioff, stated, “We are entering the age of the Agentic Enterprise, in which AI will boost human potential like never before. Agentforce 360 unifies humans, agents, and data on a single trusted platform, enabling every person and enterprise to do more than they ever imagined possible.”

Salesforce’s current iteration, dubbed ‘Agentforce 360,’ consists of four ingredients.

Agentforce 360 Platform: Agentforce’s base, which now includes a new conversational builder, hybrid reasoning for increased control and accuracy, and voice capabilities.

Data 360 (also known as Data Cloud) is the data layer that provides agents with context. Companies may transform unstructured data and analytics into rich context and understanding for AI by implementing breakthroughs such as Intelligent Context and Tableau Senematics.

Customer 360 Apps: Every enterprise’s business logic and institutional memory, which captures how it sells, services, markets, and operates, is now brought to life by AI agents who deeply understand each customer and process from the inside out.

Slack: A conversational interface enabling humans and agents to collaborate, connecting knowledge, activities, and data in real time.

Salesforce claims that this enables businesses to deploy agents based on controlled, trusted data, operate across teams and workflows, engage with humans and other agents directly in Slack, and leverage existing processes, business logic, and data infrastructure.

Salesforce states that its open ecosystem allows partners to extend its technology into “every industry with tailored solutions and services.”

Agentforce Voice is a native voice layer that converts IVR systems into genuine, real-time conversations using low-latency transcription, realistic speech synthesis, and extensive Salesforce integration.

Hybrid Reasoning and Agent Scripting: This approach blends deterministic workflows with flexible LLM reasoning. Agent Script, which is driven by the flexible Atlas Reasoning Engine, allows developers to set guardrails, tool use, and logic.

Agent Script is a high-level, human-readable, portable JSON expression language for controlling agents. It enables teams to describe complicated agent logic, such as conditionals, “if/then” rules, and handoffs.

The Atlas Reasoning Engine is now adjustable, allowing teams to “balance the inherent creativity” of LLMs with the “certainty of structured business logic,” accordingly to Salesforce, resulting in more consistent agent behavior. 

Agentforce 360 Platform now supports Google Gemini as a model for the Atlas Reasoning Engines, adding OpenAI and Anthropic, providing even more options for what models Agentforce uses to reason and plan.

The word ‘Data 360’ in the news release explaining the new features is linked to salesforce.com/data, the Data Cloud homepage. So that looks like another Salesforce product rename!

According to Salesforce, Data 360 activates a company’s structured or unstructured data to empower every agent with business context and customisation.

Intelligent Context allows agents to access unstructured content, such as PDFs or diagrams, to guide users through real-world tasks like troubleshooting and analysis.

The Customer 360 Semantic Data Model (SDM) uses Tableau Semantics to transform data into business language and provide consistent metrics across clouds.

“With partners Databricks, dbt Labs, and Snowflake, Salesforce is enabling standardized semantics across platforms,” the organization claims.
