Salesforce Launches Einstein 1 Copilot Studio: The Salesforce AI Revolution

Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) announced the availability of Einstein 1 Studio, a set of low-code tools that allow Salesforce admins and developers to customize Einstein Copilot CRM’s conversational AI assistant and seamlessly embed AI across any app for every customer and employee experience, today at TrailblazerDX, the company’s developer conference.

Einstein 1 Studio contains Copilot Builder for designing unique AI actions to do specific business activities, Prompt Builder for creating and activating bespoke prompts in the flow of work, and Model Builder for building or importing various AI models. 

This enables enterprises to provide personalized AI experiences throughout Salesforce’s Einstein 1 Platform. 

Einstein 1 Copilot Studio | What Has Been Released?

There has been a lot going on in the world of Salesforce and AI in recent months, so let’s look at what Salesforce has announced. 

Last week, Salesforce announced the public beta of Salesforce Copilot, an AI-powered chatbot integrated into all Salesforce products including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Commerce Cloud. This new small widget is similar to ChatGPT, except it is integrated into your Salesforce org and is designed to answer inquiries regarding your private corporate data. 

Salesforce Einstein 1 Copilot Studio is primarily geared toward Salesforce users, assisting them in answering customer queries and doing certain activities. While Copilot is nice, its capabilities would only be limited by the special tools that Salesforce has just published. These capabilities are comparable to Salesforce Flow and will power the next generation of AI-enabled apps.

Copilot Builder

Copilot Builder, which is available in beta, allows you to create the Einstein Copilot chatbot that interacts with users. You can use a collection of tools to link Apex, Flow, and MuleSoft APIs, as well as generative AI components, to construct custom functionality.  

Custom actions can be generated to assist with time-consuming chores because Copilot is designed to be used while users are working, similar to talking to a digital colleague. On one Salesforce example, they instructed Copilot to create and send an SMS using a Flow action.

Prompt Builder

Prompt Builder allows admins and developers to easily design bespoke, reusable AI prompts without coding, simplifying complex processes and fostering company innovation. 

This not only expands the application of generative AI beyond conversational interfaces but also enables customers to create and reuse prompts for usage in different experiences.

For example, a custom prompt can be easily included in a contact record as a button, allowing a contact center representative to view all escalated cases for a customer with a single click.

Model Builder

Choose an LLM or develop an AI model based on the job to be done (GA): Unlike other solutions that limit enterprises to a single Large Language Model (LLM), Einstein 1 Studio allows you to connect to a range of AI models.

Model Builder is also a no-code, low-code, and pro-code solution that allows enterprises to develop their own predictive AI models based on Data Cloud data.  

For generative AI, Model Builder allows users to choose from Salesforce-managed LLMs or contribute their own models.

Businesses can use Salesforce partners’ predictive and generative AI models and services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) via Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Cohere, Databricks, Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, and OpenAI, to train or fine-tune select models on Data Cloud data.
